Tissot hit the sweet spot in 2021 with the re-introduction of its sporty, seventies-inspired PRX family, first in quartz, and later that year with Swiss-made Powermatic automatic movements.
With prices starting at under £300 for quartz and under £600 for automatics (now just over £300 and £600), the watches quickly found a market for people appreciating Swiss engineering mixed with classic waffle-textured dials in an integrated steel-on-steel sports watch collection.
The widely acclaimed PRX range has been a commercial hit for Tissot, and turned into a platform watch made in an array of sizes and colourways.
Another pair of references are added to the line today, both 35mm pieces, one with an ice blue dial in a steel case with matching bracelet, the other with a striking disco-gold treatment for the dial, case and bracelet.
Both are already offered in 40mm form.
Both 35mm three-handers with date run off a Powermatic 80 automatic movement, which has an 80-hour power reserve. They are water resistant to 100 metres.
The gold version is retailing now for £745, the raw steel is £610.
