TAG Heuer takes baby steps towards reopening

Watchmaker’s service centre in Pforzheim is taking on work again and at least one of its stores in Germany is open.

TAG Heuer has shared two examples of how it is taking its first cautious steps back towards more normal trading.

Retailers in Hong Kong and other parts of China have been opening during April.

In Europe, the team returned to work at a monobrand boutique in Munich.

Germany has been the most successful country in Europe at containing the Coronavirus outbreak with 79 deaths per million compared to 394 per million in the UK and 193 per million in the United States.

Most of Switzerland’s biggest watchmakers are restarting parts of their operations, or at least sending in specialist teams to prepare facilities to reopen.

TAG Heuer joined them this week, with its customer service centre in Pforzheim reopening under strict safety guidelines.
