Sweden’s Nezumi introduces its first hand wound chronograph

Nezumi selected the Sellita calibre SW510 Mb for its 2022 Voiture Chronograph VM1S, a slim no date chronograph.

Swedish watch business Nezumi is marking its 10th anniversary in 2022 and — by popular demand — has chosen this year to introduce its first hand wound mechanical chronograph.

Nezumi founder and designer David Campo, says he has gone the manual wound route because he wants his chronograph to be slim and elegant.

“I have been developing and testing optional mechanical movements for several years, automatic and manual wound. Using an automatic movement generally makes the case too bulky for my liking, even after extensive work on the design and construction, so that option was thrown out,” he describes.

“I’ve always loved manually wound watches for two reasons: they are, to me, a time capsule back to an era of watchmaking,” he adds.
