Swatch Group returns to in-person trade fairs

COUTURE in Las Vegas will be the first time Swatch Group brands have taken part in a multibrand in-person event since before the pandemic.

Swatch Group has confirmed that it will participate with several watch brands and its own villa for private meetings at next month’s COUTURE exhibition.

The luxury watch and jewellery show takes place at Wynn Las Vegas from August 24 to August 26.

Executives from Longines, RADO, Tissot and Hamilton will meet press and retailers at the Swatch Group villa.

They join 25 more watchmakers along with designer fine jewellery brands at the COUTURE show.

Swatch Group’s participation is particularly significant because it is the first time the company has held a physical event since before the pandemic.

“For the first time since 2019, Swatch Group is looking forward to reengaging with in-person trade fairs,” says Arnaud Michon, Country Manager Swatch Group USA.

“We feel confident that COUTURE is the ideal venue for connecting with our retail partners to present the newest collections from some of our elite brands, and to foster relationships with friends and colleagues in a relaxed and luxurious environment. Longines, RADO, Tissot and Hamilton will be receiving clients and prospects at the Swatch Group Villa at Wynn Las Vegas, August 24 to August 26.”

Securing Swatch Group’s participation is a major vote of confidence in COUTURE and the work that has gone into making it a secure and commercially significant event.

Gannon Brousseau, director of COUTURE and EVP of Emerald, is delighted at the news.

“It is so exciting to be able to get together for in-person meetings, which is so critical to developing and maintaining relationships; we are honored that Swatch Group has entrusted our event to reunite with their partners and colleagues.”

COUTURE would be nothing without the support of attending retailers, and some of the country’s leading independents are booking their flights to Vegas including Bachendorf’s, Diamond Cellar, Hamilton Jewelers, Hyde Park, London Jewelers, Lee Michaels, Lux Bond & Green, Mann’s Jewelers, Reis Nichols, Tivol, Tappers, Bhindi, Feldmar Watch Company and Zadok Jewelers, which has just opened one of the largest luxury watch and jewellery showrooms in the United States.

“We are so delighted to get back to in-person events, and we are very much looking forward to reconnecting with our important timepiece brands during COUTURE 2021,” says Segev Zadok, owner/partner of Zadok Jewelers.

“It’s always great to get a first-hand look at new collection releases, and to be able to network and enjoy one another’s company in the elegant environment that COUTURE provides is paramount to maintaining strong relationships with our important partners.”

COUTURE 2021 is taking place in the recently opened event space at the Wynn Las Vegas (pictured top), August 24 to August 26, with a Preview Event taking place on the evening of August 23 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

The new exhibition space, which is located just beyond the Lafite Ballroom in COUTURE’s former location, will allow jewelry and timepiece brands to exhibit together in the prestigious Cristal Ballroom.

Additionally, select brands will exhibit in private ballrooms below the Cristal Ballroom, as well as in private villas.

In addition to the preview on Monday evening, COUTURE is open from 9am to 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9am to 6pm on Thursday.
