Survival Rule of 3 steers design of latest Bear Grylls Luminox watch

Bear Grylls follows a rule of three when it comes to surviving in the wild. You can live for three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water and three weeks without food.

Special forces airman turned TV adventurer Bear Grylls has a rule of three when it comes to surviving in the wild. You can live for three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water and three weeks without food.

Luminox is reminding budding outdoorsmen of these rules with a watch made in collaboration with Mr Grylls called the Survival Rule of 3 #tide 3720 Series, which also refers to the Swiss watchmaker’s mantra: every second counts.

The watch is not only helpful in an extreme survival situation, it also helps to save the planet thanks to its construction from upcycled plastic material for the case and black strap in partnership with Swiss based Tide Ocean SA.

It is available in two versions: black dial with black strap or black dial with orange strap – both in #tide upcycled plastic.

“Survival comes down to time and with this new release I want to respect the Rule of 3. Whether you are an adventurist or just an enthusiast, understanding this rule reminds us to be smart about the time we have and to be humble. I am proud of the new watch and the case material which will result in less plastic in our oceans,” Mr Grylls says.
