Skagen collaborates with streetwear brand Soulland for eco-friendly chronograph

The limited-edition Soulland x Skagen collection focuses on sustainability with reimagined versions of the existing Grenen model.

This year saw contemporary Scandinavian menswear label Soulland, founded by Silas Adler and Jacob Kampp Berliner, celebrate its twentieth anniversary with the final part of a trilogy of collections inspired by books.

Expanding on the S/S 22 collection that focused on the concept of stretching time, the Fall catwalk was entitled ‘Original Memory, An Autobiography’.

The show saw models walk at Copenhagen Fashion Week wearing watches designed in collaboration with Skagen – the second time the two brands have partnered.

While the cases are made with 50% recycled steel, the straps are created from responsibly-sourced leather produced with less water consumption, pollution and energy and transportation costs.

Launched at the end of July, the two quartz-powered Soulland x Skagen Grenen Chronographs are 42mm in diameter.

Available in stealthy black or forest green and white the watches have been made in editions of 300 pieces each priced at £169 ($175) and available from skagen.com and soulland.com.
