ROX charges-up for opening in Battersea Power Station

Glasgow-based jeweller ROX is heading south to open its first boutique in London.

The showroom, initially offering only jewellery, will be located in the newly redeveloped Battersea Power Station complex on the south bank of the Thames.

The 1,500 square foot store will be ROX’s seventh in the UK and will house a Moet & Chandon champagne bar to deliver what the company calls its Diamonds & Thrills experience.

“Since the day Grant [Mitchell] and I founded ROX our aspirations have always been to take the brand to London. It is a city like no other and its retail scene is unrivalled.  Being able to showcase our brand in one of the most exciting retail schemes in the world right now is an honour and we are delighted to be able to reach this milestone as we celebrate 20 years in business,” says Kyron Keogh, co-founder and managing director of ROX.

“Jewellery continues to be a sparkling success story for us especially when we take into consideration the two years of the pandemic we have just traded through.  Like every industry we faced our fair share of challenges thanks to lock downs and travel restrictions but it seems that many consumers are turning to and have rediscovered a love of fine jewellery that instantly sparks joy and is a forever purchase that is regarded as being worth the investment,” he adds.

Battersea Power Station will open as a mixed development split into two original turbine halls with just over a hundred retail units, making it London’s third largest shopping, dining and entertainment destination.

Watches of Switzerland has already announced it will be opening a multibrand showroom there.
