WATCHPRO has admired Parisian watchmaker Reservoir since first discovering the brand during its first outing in Baselworld back in 2017, so much so that its British Racing Green Longbridge watch was on our front cover inside a year.
So, it is with delight that we can now welcome Reservoir to London, where it is participating in this year’s WATCHPRO Salon.
The prestigious luxury watch show takes place at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square from November 11 to 12.
Reservoir, which is looking for retail partners in the UK, has made its name with watches where the time is shown with a retrograde minute hand sweeping the top half of the dial, and a jumping hour at 6 o’clock.
Watches are made to look like old gauges and dials.
In the case of the Longbridge, it looked like the speedometer of an old Mini, which was made in the now defunct Midlands car factory.
New for WATCHPRO Salon, and showing for the first time in the UK, Reservoir will present another watch with a design taken from a traditional amplifier.
You will instantly recognise the style from an old high end hi-fi.
The Sonomaster Chronograph, which uses retrograde hands again, but in a different configuration to the core collection, faithfully reproduces the hands of power measurements or VU meters from analog stereo amplifiers.
“This strong milestone for Reservoir celebrates the human quest to create pure sound, a musical exploration full of audacity and intensity,” the company says.
There are two retrograde hands showing the date and seconds to the left and right of the dial, which comes in either black or silver.
Unusually for Reservoir, the watch has central hours, seconds and chronograph hands.
It all comes in a super sporty 43mm stainless steel package with integrated bracelet.
It is on sale now for £5,600 and will be on show at WATCHPRO Salon.
