Last year WATCHPRO Salon guests were treated to the sight of two artfully restored E-Type Jaguars amid the sparkling watches on show, this year we are celebrating another iconic British automobile with a pair of classic Land Rover, beautifully refurbished by Cotswolds specialist Kingsley.
The restoration business focuses almost exclusively on Range Rovers at its Oxfordshire workshops.
“Given the chance, I will chat all day about Range Rovers — I guess it’s in my blood,” says Kingsley founder Damon Oorloff.
First of the two vehicles, which will be parked within the hotel’s entrance to the main WATCHPRO Salon show, is a stunning 1963 Land Rover Series IIA 88 (pictured top).
And it’s for sale!
“Powered by a 2.2 litre inline-four petrol engine, the car drives beautifully,” Kingsley describes.
It is presented in Marine Blue with excellent body work. The interior cabin is also a lovely place to be with re-upholstered seats, all original parts fitted and working and no known electrical faults.
Alongside the Series IIA, and also for sale, will be 1993 2-door in sky blue with a 4.6 litre engine refurbished and upgraded by Kingsley to deliver 260bhp.
