Scottish Watches bills itself as the world’s number one watch podcast, and has the stats to back it up.
The news, reviews and general banter about watches between Rikki and Dave Sharp is very much the same in video as in the audio podcast.
In fact, it is identical.
The very first Youtube video is also available in audio-only form as episode 479 of the podcast.
After the usual wrist check and some love for their sponsor Christopher Ward, the episode discusses a slew of new Omega Seamasters, which were launched last week to mark the 75th anniversary of the model.
They discuss the unique watches that have been created for the charitable Only Watch Auction, concluding that the all gold Tudor “Big Block” Chronograph is the pick of the bunch.
And Rikki shares a few clips from an afternoon lusting after supercars at his local Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini showrooms.
Spoiler alert … he was not impressed.
Twelve hours after the first video went live, it was heading towards 500 views, and Scottish Watches seemed happy to be finally seeing Rikki and Dave on screen.
