Most mechanical timepieces displayed time using a single hand until the end of the 1700s, MeisterSinger reminds us, as it launches a limited edition of its Pangaea watch, a wristwatch designed to look like a pocket watch from back in the day.
Only 200 units of the Pangaea 365 are being made, priced at an attractive £1,890.
The 40mm steel pieces, housing modified Sellita SW220 automatic movements, have vintage ivory colored dials decorated with with fine serif typeface versions of the hour markers, MeisterSinger logo and Pangea 365 stamp.
They have clear casebacks to show off the movement.
