Luminox is building military specification watches that meet the US Department of Defense’s MIL-PRF- 46374G standards covering water resistance, robustness, and overall quality.
New Luminox 3350 Mil-Spec watches arrive this month inoversized 46mm ultra-strong Carbonox cases housing ETA quartz movements.
Made for military details include the use of special steel that will not oxidise in salt water, a titanium bezel to save weight and a heavy seconds hand that is easily read under fire when every second counts.
HeavyDrive protection means that when the watch gets a hard knock, it gets a counter-impulse once that prevents the second hand from skipping accidentally.
It also has PreciDrive, which keeps the watch accurate to +/- 10 seconds/year.
Luminox describes it as “the must-have watch for military, first responders, rugged outdoors as well as true sports lovers who want a unique watch where they can rely on, whether on land, sea or in the air”.
It is on sale now for £699.
