Kennett has signed up to sponsor a transatlantic rowing world record attempt organised by Ocean Row Events.
The event has been set up for a team of eight rowers led by multiple Guinness World Record holder Leven Brown to try to beat the 30-day barrier for rowing across the Atlantic. Kennett will be the official timekeeper.
Kennett founder Tom Kennett said: “We are very excited to be supporting Leven and his team in this challenging, courageous and gruelling dash across the Atlantic. Style and performance are central to our design approach at Kennett and we are proud to be associated with such an adventure – which will also rely on the accuracy and durability of our timepieces.”
The expedition will lead the rowing team to take their carbon Kevlar rowing boat across 3,000 miles of ocean from Puerto Mogan in Gran Canaria to Port St Charles in Barbados.
