Indian auction house Astaguru invites online bids at its annual exceptional timepieces sale


The pound has fallen a great deal less against the Indian rupee than it has against the dollar, Swiss franc and the euro, which could make an upcoming fine watch and clock auction in India a potential buying opportunity for British collectors and trade buyers hamstrung by our crippled currency.

AstaGuru is hosting its 2019 Exceptional Timepieces Auction between September 24 and 25, and the the 64-lot sale has some enticing estimates for vintage and more modern classics.


The auction has watches from Rolex, Patek Philippe, IWC, Hublot, Audemars Piguet, Roger Dubuis, Omega, Cartier, Breguet, Jaeger LeCoultre, Chopard, Piaget, Ulysse Nardin and A. Lange & Söhne.

Daytona Stainless Steel Oyster Perpetual Wristwatch Model No. D003766, Case No. 116520 Circa : 2005. Estimated price £12,000 to £14,ooo.



Breguet Hora Mundi 5717 Platinum World Time Wristwatch Model No. 5717PTA59ZU, Serial No. 978AW Case dimension : diameter 43 mm. Estimate £40,000 to £45,000.
