A year after Swatch unveiled its groundbreaking MoonSwatch, the price is up 10% from £207 at launch to to £228 today.
That is for customers able to buy at one of Swatch’s shops as MoonSwatch is still not sold online.
The going rate on the secondary market appears to be around £350 for a new and boxed MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon, according to listings of sold watches on eBay this morning.
Swatch can justifiably say it has been reasonable with its price rise given that inflation in almost every Western economy is running at around 10% as well.
From today, there is a new price for the Swatch MoonSwatch with a seconds hand coated in Omega’s patented alloy, Moonshine Gold.
Swatch has introduced it at £250, a mere £22 more than the original collection.
