Hodinkee and Braun have teamed up to create limited editions of the German watchmaker’s BN0279 Centre Seconds and BN0279 Sub-Seconds models.
The Bauhaus-inspired Braun design is virtually impossible to tamper with in anything but the smallest details, but a significant development is in the choice of movement, an automatic ETA 2892-2, which is only the second time the brand has stepped away from quartz.
Both watches are based on Braun’s AW10 and AW50 models, and their red chevron by the date window at three o’clock and the yellow central or subdial seconds hand that has been a Braun signature since the seventies.
Limited to 100 pieces each, the watches go on sale today exclusively with Hodinkee for $950.
