Hodinkee has extended its partnership with Swatch to create special summer editions of the Swatch Sistem51 and, for kids, a fresh Flik Flak model.
It is the fourth collaboration between the retailer and Swatch.
The $170 Swatch Sistem51 Hodinkee Summer edition comes in clean and crisp white across the dial and silicone strap, with a mix of navy and black shapes for the hour markers to provide interest and contrast.
Its 42mm case houses the automatic Sistem51 movement with a Nivachron hairspring. Visible through the exhibition case back is the addition of a blue and white Hodinkee pattern filled with interlocking “H” characters running across the mainplate.
Flik Flak aims to help kids get started with their first watch, and Hodinkee has co-designed a model that is easily readable and playful for the summer.
It also uses a white case and dial, but a two-tone blue fabric strap. Its black dial markers show both the hours from one to 12 and the minutes from zero to 60 as an aid to telling the time.
It goes on sale today for $40.
