Every brand, it seems, needs a solid performer that appeals to a one watch customer wanting a stylish piece that can be worn to the gym in the morning, the office through the day and out to dinner in the evening.
For Hamilton, that family is the Jazzmaster Performer, which already had every base covered — chronographs and time-only steel-on-steel watches for men or women — before an additional nine references are added this week.
This season’s line extensions include variations in 42mm, 38mm and 34mm case sizes, all housing automatic movements with Nivachron balance springs and impressive power reserves.
There are two 42mm chronographs with a choice of dark blue or pale blue dial colours retailing for £2,135. They are powered by H-31 automatic chronograph movements with 60 hour power reserves.
Three-handers without date displays are priced at £1,065 and come in a choice of dark blue or white dials.
Their 38mm cases — very much the size of the moment thanks to its cross-gender appeal — house H-10 automatic movements with 80 hour power reserves.
For the slimmer or female wrist, Hamilton has new 34mm three-hand automatics in dark blue, pink, silver, purple, green priced at £1,065.
