There is almost nothing the modern watch enthusiast could take against with the immaculately revived DOXA 300T.
With its lineage tracing back to 1968, when DOXA launched the divers’ SUB 300T Conquistador to professional and public acclaim, it is a watch that the world was genuinely calling for to make a comeback.
The modern 300T became an instant bestseller for the relaunched brand but, with a case measuring 42.50mm x 44.50mm x 13.65 mm, it does feel oversized for modern tastes.
DOXA CEO Jan Edöcs is a man with finely calibrated commercial antennae, so it is no surprise the brand has introduced a new 39mm x 41.50mm x 10.70 mm case for the 2024 SUB 200T.
There is also a brand new dial color, sea emerald green, in addition to pieces in orange, silver, black, navy blue, yellow, turquoise and white in the 39mm family.
As with the 300T, customers can choose from a rubber strap or the beads of rice-style steel bracelet.
You lose nothing from a design sense in the reworking into a smaller case, It is the same three-hand plus date dive watch with a unidirectional divers’ bezel and integrated US Navy no-decompression limit table and screw down crown.
It is powered by a Swiss automatic movement with 38 hour power reserve.
Water resistance has dropped from 4,000 feet to 660 feet, a change that will effect, almost literally, nobody.
They are on sale from today for £1,450 on the rubber strap and £1,490 with the stainless steel bracelet.
