Certina has added a green and black reference to DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 – Urban line.
The colour combination, reminiscent of the Rolex GMT Master popularly known as the Sprite, helps to delineate between night-time and daytime hours by colouring 6pm to 6am in black and the remaining 12 hours in green on the 24 hour bezel.
DS Action GMTs have central hours, minutes and seconds hands for the local time and a luminous arrowhead pointing to the bezel’s 24-hour scale to keep track of second time zone.
They are powered by an ETA Powermatic 80 automatic movement with a Nivachron anti-magnetic balance spring, which has an 80 hour of power reserve.
Certina is sticking with a 41mm stainless steel case, water resistant to 200 metres, and an integrated three-link bracelet.
The £1,040 black and green piece is part of a three watch DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 – Urban family. The other two come in a black and yellow gold combination, priced at £995 on a strap and blue and red (Pepsi-like) style for £1,040 on a steel bracelet.
