Glashütte Original says its new Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition is bringing the spirit of the 1960s to the wrists of today.
The decade saw the Western world move on from the post-war years of austerity with a riot of music, colour, fashion and political renewal.
The creativity and colour of the period is celebrated in the Glashütte Original chronograph, which comes with a shimmering stone-grey varnished dial with dégradé effect and red gold hands and hour markers.
It is worn on a dark blue textile strap.
The watch is powered by Glashütte Original’s Calibre 39-34 automatic chronograph movement, which has an Anacrhon balance spring.
The movement, which is on display from the flipside of the watch, is protected from shocks within its 42mm steel case, which is water resistant to 100 feet.
It is on sale from September for $8500.
