Frederique Constant sells out 888 NFT watches inside 48 hours

Watchmaker worked with agency Rarecubes and on the Exclusible Web3 platform to create and sell a series of 888 Time to Travel watch NFTs in tribute to the 10th anniversary of its Classics Worldtimer Manufacture.

NFTs are getting a pretty rough ride right now, but a first collection of NFT watches from Frederique Constant has sold out in less than 48 hours.

The watchmaker worked with agency Rarecubes and on the Exclusible Web3 platform to create and sell a series of 888 Time to Travel watch NFTs in tribute to the 10th anniversary of its Classics Worldtimer Manufacture.

The NFT watches, named the Time to Travel Series, came in a range of styles, with prices starting at 0.123 ETH ($1,819 at today’s exchange rate).

The series reproduces the Worldtimer experience in a virtual form. All 24 reference cities listed on the outer ring of the dial -representing the 24 time zones- have been allocated a set number of NFTs and each watch is highlighted within an architectural and visual environment reminiscent of the city.

Not all cities and watches have the same value because some are rarer than others and, the rarer the city is, the more benefits are unlocked.

Geneva being Frederique Constant’s birthplace, is therefore the most exclusive city, and has been allocated just 10 NFTs, potentially making them the most valuable to collectors.
