Some consider the tourbillon to be the Holy Grail of watchmaking, and is a dream for many brands to incorporate into their offering.
Today, CODE41 does just that.
In uniting its best Swiss partners for the project, CODE41 has launched the T360 – the brand’s first tourbillon with a USP of maximum personalisation, even down to the shape of the case.
The T360 tourbillon is a model that pays homage to the expertise of the craftspeople working behind the project and has been optimised for reliability and tested well beyond the required standards.
As part of the launch, four chapters have been dedicated to the project on the website, with 192 design variations, +12,500 votes, +400 comments from members, and 43 sleepless nights to arrive at the final collection.
As always, the CODE41 community initiates the development of each new project and this time, the tourbillon won the votes.
Each key step has been subject to a vote submitted to the hundreds of thousands of members of the community.
Offered at a price starting at CHF 9,898 with a movement designed and assembled entirely in Switzerland, CODE41 says its aim was to ensure the T360’s tourbillon makes the perfect marriage of accessibility and peerless Swiss watchmaking expertise.
With an entirely skeletonised design, the tourbillon sits at 6 o’clock and while it is a sight to behold, is also designed to be deployable on the wrist every day.
The movement and tourbillon parts are developed, designed and assembled entirely in Switzerland, allowing CODE41 to stay true to its transparent values.
At pre-order, two cases are on offer – the “NativeDNA” case which has been a CODE41 success since 2016 and the “Stratom,” a new case from 2023.
Developed specifically in conjunction with the tourbillon, the new case is making its very first appearance for these pre-orders.
It is a follow-up to the historic case, and offers a multi-layer construction with many possible combinations of materials in a technical and industrial style.
In terms of personalisation, there are over 200 possible combinations, with a choice of leather, rubber and steel straps as well as among 5 colour combinations for the dial and hands.
Pre-orders will go live from April 19th starting at £9,590 in the UK, with 150 Creator editions becoming available.
