Christopher Ward will unveil the 21st watch in its portfolio of watches using the company’s in-house-designed and assembled SH21 calibre at WATCHPRO Salon in November.
The Christopher Ward C60 Concept is the latest in the SH21-based line that includes four automatics and six hand wound watches in a range of styles ranging from central or small seconds, with or without power reserve indicators, and with or without date.
All are COSC-certified chronometers.
The C60 Concept is a 42mm titanium skeletonised piece with small seconds.
The detail of each movement, seen from the front and back of the watch, took six hours and was consulted overseen by Armin Strom to the level seen by artisan independents such as Czapek and MB&F, Christopher Ward says.
It still performs as a diving watch, with 300 metre water resistance thanks to a screw-in crown and screw-down exhibition caseback,
It has a 120-step unidirectional zirconia ceramic bezel, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, brushed and polished steel hands, sandblasted, brushed and polished blue ring with Super-LumiNova White filling and an orange Globolight Triangle.
The 210-piece limited edition, priced at £3,495, comes with a Cordura and rubber hybrid waterproof strap.
WATCHPRO Salon
Christopher Ward is one of the star brands at this year’s WATCHPRO Salon, a showcase of prestige watchmakers and a chance for brands, retailers and press to meet collectors and enthusiasts in 5-star luxury.
The two-day event takes place from November 12 to 13 at The Londoner, a brand new 5-star hotel on London’s Leicester Square.
