Jewellery and watch retailer Goldsmiths has reopened its Reading store after a refurbishment as part of its extensive nationwide redesign project.
The Reading showroom is only the second of the Watches of Switzerland Group’s new concept showrooms to open, following a Canterbury site which opened at the start of October.
The retailer’s new retail concept includes a new logo, interior design and layout for each of its showrooms.
The updated retail concept offers a variety of new facets to the business including an increased focus on luxury watch brands.
This, in particular, is part of Goldsmiths’ aim to create a “relaxed, inclusive and experiential” in-store experience for luxury-watch shoppers.
It also includes dedicated areas for Rolex, OMEGA, Breitling, Tudor and Hublot.
TAG Heuer, Longines and Tissot also feature.
Craig Bolton, executive director of the Watches of Switzerland Group, said: “This is a significant milestone for Goldsmiths.
“Luxury today has become far more relaxed, inclusive, and experiential, so while we are elevating the Goldsmiths brand position, our goal is to make everyone feel valued and at home when visiting our showrooms.
“Our ambition is for everyone to have a memorable luxury experience long after they’ve made their purchase.
“We believe the repositioning and new showroom concept will transform not just the Goldsmiths profile and experience but bring some fresh life to our high streets and we are delighted to launch in Reading.”
