Rado is approaching its second season as the timekeeping partner for the England and Wales Cricket Board and is marking the approach of another summer with the release of a Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic x England Cricket.
The watch is limited to a production run of just 150 pieces.
It is based on the same skeletonised Captain Cook three-hander, but comes in a blue and white combination more immediately linked to the England Men’s and Women’s team colours.
Rado is raising the profile of its expertise in advanced ceramics with the 43mm watch coming in a matt navy blue monobloc case made from the light and scratch-resistant material.
Details include a polished blue ceramic bezel with contrasting white ceramic 60 minute markers circling a skeletonized dial with bright white baton hour markers and hands.
From underneath, the 300 metre water resistant watch has a sapphire crystal case back carrying the ECB’s logo and “Official Timing Partner”.
It is powered by Rado’s calibre R808 automatic movement, which has an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring.
Completing the package is a navy blue rubber strap.
Rado has not revealed the price, but other models in the range typically sell for around £4,000 to £4,500.
