Breitling’s UK sales rose by 24% to £89.1 million for its 2023 financial year that ended in March last year.
The company also posted a record operating profit of £3.6 million.
In commentary accompanying the published accounts, Breitling says its focus for this financial year is to continue growth.
Any growth in the current year will be against a backdrop of falling retail sales of watches in Britain, particularly in Breitling’s average price segment of £5,000 to £10,000, a sector of the market that has been contracting since May last year, according to GfK.
Breitling has two of its own directly-run flagships in London on New Bond Street and Regent Street in addition to a mixture of 111 franchised monobrand stores and multibrand partners in the UK.
Breitling says it will continue to optimise its distribution network this year and there will be a continued focus on growing online sales and direct to consumer channels.
