Berry’s takes on 22.5 mile coastal trek in aid of Parkinson’s UK

A total of 24 staff from several of the retailer’s stores took on the challenge, including Head of Operations, Simon Oxby and Managing Director, Simon Walton.

At the beginning of September, the Berry’s team took on a 22.5 mile coastal walk in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

A total of 24 staff from several of the retailer’s stores took on the challenge, including Head of Operations, Simon Oxby and Managing Director, Simon Walton.

Mr Oxby commented on just how good it was to have so many of the team take part for the company’s chosen charity of the year.

Speaking to WATCHPRO, he explained: “It was fantastic to see so many of the Berry’s family take up this challenge and everyone was absolutely buzzing to take part and we are was so proud to have raised over £28,000 for such a worthy cause.”

Mr Oxby, who is also Chairman of the Berry’s Charity Scheme, added: “It was a great opportunity for some people to meet for the first time. Everyone kept each other motivated to the finish and showed true teamwork in doing so.”

Berry’s Chairman, Jeffrey Walton, recently picked up the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Professional Jeweller Awards.
