The sum of all details that come together in Ball Watch Company’s current Explorer III Outlier GMT may make it the best value dual timer on the market.
Priced at £2,860 with a steel 24 hour bezel or £3,100 with a ceramic bezel, the watches are almost £1,000 less expensive than most Tudor GMTs and £5,000 less than a Rolex Explorer.
Each is limited to 1,000 pieces.

Let’s look at the details.
The Explorer III’s 40mm case and bracelet uses 904L stainless steel with higher chromium, molybdenum, nickel and copper content that makes it harder and more resistant to corrosion, rust and acids.
Its in-house RRM7337-C GMT movement is COSC-certified for accuracy and designed with reliability and simplicity at its heart with both the hour and second time zone hand adjusted by the same crown.
The movement is protected from magnetic interference up to 1,000 gauss and the watch is water resistant to 200 metres.
Dials are easy to read in daylight, and particularly in the dark thanks to two colours of micro gas tubes. 12 o’clock has yellow gas lights, while the additional hour markers shine in green. Small yellow gas lights illuminate the GMT hours on the inner bezel, while green Super-LumiNova brightens the 24-hour indication on the bi-directional rotating bezel.
The whole package is protected under domed sapphire glass with a cyclopes magnifier for the date.
