Audemars Piguet has added five fresh watches to its Royal Oak Offshore collection, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
Each is being offered in a gender-neutral 37mm case size, but four gem-encrusted chronographs might appeal more to women while a rapper-friendly black ceramic three-hander, with AP’s Tapisserie ‘equalizer’ dial, is likely to attract a broader musical audience.
The Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition line, launched in 2022, has 37mm and 43mm models in white gold or titanium, sometimes adorned with multi-coloured gems.
The latest addition comes in lightweight black ceramic with titanium elements and houses the no-date Calibre 5909 automatic movement with a 60 hour power reserve.
It is sold on a black rubber strap with a mosaic pattern that can be swapped three additional straps in turquoise, yellow and green rubber.
250 are being made. Price is on request.
In the gem-set quartet, there are two timepieces embellished with a bezel paved with brilliant-cut diamonds and come in a choice of 18ct pink gold or stainless steel cases.
The pink gold version has a light blue dial and is worn on a matching coloured rubber strap that can be swapped out for beige.
The stainless steel model with diamond-set bezel is has a salmon dial. It can be worn on a light or dark grey rubber strap.
More colourful still are gem-set yellow gold and pink gold chronographs decorated with combinations of tsavorites, sapphires, rubies, topaz, tanzanites and amethysts.
The rose gold model is set with 32 baguette-cut rubies, tsavorites, topaz, tanzanites, amethysts and orange, yellow, green, blue, violet and pink sapphires.
The rainbow bezel frames a black tapisserie dial with pink gold applied hour-markers. It is worn on a black rubber strap with pink gold clasp and is sold with an additional beige rubber strap.
The yellow gold model has a bezel set with 32 baguette-cut tsavorites as well as blue and yellow sapphires.
The tapisserie chronograph dial is royal blue with yellow gold accents.
It comes on a matching blue rubber strap with the option of swapping for a version in green.
All the 37mm gemset models use AP’s selfwinding Calibre 2385 with 40 hour power reserve.
