Allemano Watches has signed its first UK retail partner, securing a berth with Argent Timeless, which is opening soon on London’s famous tailoring street Savile Row.
Argent Timeless will be no ordinary watch retailer. It is more of a concierge service for classic car enthusiasts, offering products like custom luggage, fashion and accessories with a motoring flavour.
The intersection of classic cars and watches meshes with Allemano’s history.
The Italian company’s story began in 1856 when its founder Giuseppe Allemano launched into the business of steam powered road rollers before moving into the production of tools for measuring and regulating temperature and pressure tools at the turn of the century.
It was a significant supplier to the Italian military during the First World War as well as making instruments for the earliest Italian automobiles.
One of those instruments was a pressure gauge for a 1919 Fiat 501 Torpedo, the first serially-produced car for the fledgling Italian manufacturer.
This gauge’s design is the template for Allemano’s first timepieces, which launched in 2019 and are being distributed by Chrono Emotions.
Allemano makes three models, all with an early 20th century retro styling and all using decorated Swiss-made automatic Sellita or ETA movements in bold 44mm steel cases and all on chunky Italian leather straps.
The brand will be presenting its watches at WATCHPRO Salon in November.

Allemano is one of the star brands at this year’s WATCHPRO Salon, a showcase of prestige watchmakers and a chance for brands, retailers and press to meet collectors and enthusiasts in 5-star luxury.
The two-day event takes place from November 12 to 13 at The Londoner, a brand new 5-star hotel on London’s Leicester Square.
