German watchmaker Alexander Shorokhoff is celebrating victory in a prestigious design competition for its spherical SHAR watch.
The perfectly round timepiece was recognised in the wristwatch category among a list of 850 entries at the New York Product Design Awards and bagged the Gold trophy.
The watch convinced the jury not only with its unique and innovative design, but also its high precision and innovative case design and high quality craftsmanship.
SHAR has a case and sapphire crystal that are held together with a single screw and meet to form a sphere.
The lugs are also made of small balls.
The automatic mechanical watches come in a range of colours and dials, and are retailing for €1,830.
