The company has been revitalised in recent years by reducing its dependence on quartz-based watches by building a portfolio of affordable smartwatches selling in volume through retailers such as Argos.

Operating profit rose from £1.03m to £1.44m in the financial year.

Peers Hardy is sensitive to the long-term decline in the quartz watch market, but has added Jacques Du Manoir’s Swiss made range recently, and continues to offer its in house Henry London range of traditional timepieces alongside licensed watches under the Sara Miller brand.

It offers a broad portfolio of smartwatches under brands including Amelia Austin, Farah, Radley, Reflex Active and Harry Lime.
