Built like a battleship, this bulletproof Prospex from Seiko is as robust as they come, using the same double-case system employed on the company’s first 600m dive watch back in 1975.
The encompassing 48mm outer case offers cut-out views of the inner case and also serves to shield the unidirectional rotating bezel from accidental knocks.
The dial is as clean and legible as a diver could hope for with large 3D dot hour markers packed with luminous material and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The Prospex is water resistant down to 200m, has a skeletonised fourth GMT hand and also offers the reassuringly vast power reserves of Seiko’s Kenetic technology.
