Swatch is accelerating towards the launch of its latest racing-inspired collection, Gran Turismo, at the forthcoming fashion week London Collections: Men.
The Swiss watch brand is an official partner of the annual London fashion event and the new Gran Turismo collection will be launched at its Victoria House HQ, in Bloomsbury.
The Gran Turismo collection takes inspiration for its 18-watches from the bygone days of motor-racing and the legendary drivers of decades past.
Golden Friend and Silver Friend reflect their names on their metallic sunburst dials while Black Brake and Red Brake take their indices stylings from car speedometers and instrument panels. While the Dippiogiro introduces a brooding take on the well-established Irony line with double wrap dark tan strap.
While Destination Madrid is the racing powerhouse of the collection, a chronograph with tachymeter, central seconds hand and 1/10th second sub register.
The playful watch brand will be based at Victoria House between 9-12 January during London Collections: Men and will be hosting its own Top Gear Scalextric track and time trial leaderboard with the fastest time each day winning a watch from the Gran Turismo collection. A mini version of the track will also be installed at the flagship store on Oxford Street.
The Gran Turismo collection is priced between £44.50 and £120.50.
