Headline sales at the latest Roseberys latest Fine Art auction are more about vintage watches than works of art.
A Richard Mille limited edition sold smashed its pre-sale estimate of £20-30,000; eventually going under the hammer for £137,808.
The lot was described as a Richard Mille, RM 003 AH Ti/242 limited edition 07/10 gentleman’s wrist watch, manual wind, skeletonised movement and see-through dial, luminous baton markers, luminous tipped baton hands, screwed down glazed back, case and movement signed , black strap and deployment clasp.
A Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing 18ct gold-cased gentleman’s wrist watch had a pre-sale estimate of £20-40,000 and achieved a price of £34,452.
The watch, described as No. 40151 Edition Numerotte 21/30, has a see-through dial and glazed back with a black rubber strap.
