Incoming Ulysse Nardin CEO makes immediate impact

The arrival of Ulysse Nardin’s new CEO in the summer has come at a timely moment for the watchmaker as it looks to expand internationally.

Patrick Pruniaux took charge on August 28, reporting to Albert Bensoussan, CEO of Kering Luxury Watches and Jewellery, the brand’s parent group, and within weeks Ulysse Nardin was honoured with victory at the GPHG Awards when the Marine Regatta was selected by the jury for the Sports Watch Prize.

In the UK, Ulysse Nardin has also been given a boost with the opening of a concession within the Harrods store at London Heathrow’s Terminal 2.

Mr Pruniaux has many years of experience in the watchmaking industry, including nine years at TAG Heuer and at Apple, where he was involved in the launch of the Apple Watch.

As CEO of Ulysse Nardin, his mission is to accelerate the international expansion of the Swiss luxury watchmaking brand.

“I am delighted to see a talented individual such as Patrick Pruniaux join Ulysse Nardin, which once again illustrates the attractiveness of the Kering Group,” said Mr Bensoussan.

“His in-depth knowledge of the watchmaking sector, from product innovation to customer relations, and distribution, will be an important asset in the ongoing drive to develop this watchmaking house, building on its cutting-edge technical expertise and unique identity.”
