Mondaine’s co-owner and chief executive André Bernheim has announced that he is stepping down from actively running the company, and has named Bernd Stadlwieser as his successor.
Mondaine has been an independent, family-operated business since 1951 and is owned by brothers André and Ronnie Bernheim.
André Bernheim took over as CEO from his older brother 15 years ago, and both remain directors of the company. During his tenure, Mondaine became the outright owner of Luminox and now operates two brands under the Mondaine Group banner.
The new CEO Mr Stadlwieser is a jewellery and watch veteran, having spent 11 years as group CEO of Thomas Sabo and 12 years as vice president of sales of Swarovski.
Maybe this needs updating as Stadlwieser only lasted one year, e.g. left Mondaine CEO job in May 2019.
