Elie Beaumont London looks to match success of Olivia Burton and Cluse

The crowded market for minimalist watches has another entrant with British brand Elie Beaumont hoping to catch the eye of retailers.

The company’s current collection uses genuine marble and mother of pearl dials, which offer a clean and clear canvas for the watches, and also mean that each is slightly different.

The watches will be introduced to trade buyers at Autumn Fair (September 2-6 at Birmingham NEC) and Maison Objets (September 8-12 in Paris).

The latest watches also come with on trend steel mesh bracelets and along with new leather strap coours including teal and maroon.

Elie Beaumont sells directly from its own website, but is actively looking for stockists and does already have a growing network of retail partners.

“Whilst the RRP may appear low, our trade prices are also very competitive ensuring that the retailer earns almost a 3x multiplier (far in excess of a lot of Jewellers watch brands). This high profit margin coupled with our on trend designs at highly accessible price points for the customer, make our range very appealing to potential retail stockists,” a company spokesperson says.

“We keep our trade and then retail price points low by cutting out the ancillary expenses of some of the larger watch brands, for example we use our own in-house design team rather than contracting out, and place orders direct with actual factories in China as opposed to dealing with agents or trading houses in Hong Kong that most other brands use. We also enjoy economies of scale by producing watch ranges for a number of other brands. Overall this allows us to provide desirable design watches at very competitive prices – something that retail stockists would be keen to benefit from,” the company adds.
