Cutting edge watch winder specialist Buben & Zorweg consulted a Feng Shui Master before opening its latest boutique in China’s duty free zone in Xiamen.
The glittering store, operated in partnership with shopping centre owner Sinnoe, is the German manufacturer’s first standalone boutique in China and was opened on January 18th at 9 o’clock, a date and time considered ‘full of good omen and destined to bring good luck’.
Mr Huang, managing director of Sinnoe, and owner of several shopping centers in the region, including the one where the boutique is located, was on hand for the opening along with Christian Zorweg and Feng Shui Master Mr Wang, who inaugurated the luxury 80 square meter retail space.
The boutique will sell Buben & Zorweg’s most valuable pieces that include technologically advanced watch winders and luxury safes from the Objects of Time collection, mechanical clocks, audiophile products and humidors.
Xiamen was recently announced as China’s cleanest city and has trade links with the West going back as far as 1541.
