Zenith goes pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Last October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), media specialists including Revolution, Time+Tide and Fratello came together to curate a collection of one-off timepieces under the umbrella of The Pink Dial Project. The watches were auctioned with the proceeds going to breast cancer charities.

One of the most beautiful and popular Pink Dial watches was the Zenith Chronomaster Revival A3818 ‘Covergirl’ Pièce Unique, which fetched $32,000 against a pre-sale estimate of $11,000.

For 2022, Zenith is continuing its long-standing support of breast cancer awareness with a special edition Chronomaster Original Pink that will be available exclusively during October, with a proportion of sales being donated the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.Zenith chronomaster original pink 1

When Susan Komen died of breast cancer in 1980, her sister Nancy Brinker vowed to do everything in her power to end breast cancer and its impact and, two years later, she founded the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to achieve this goal.

Today, as the world’s largest non-profit source of funding to fight the disease, the Foundation has raised in excess of $3.3 billion which has helped in cutting-edge research and community health and outreach programmes, saving the lives of countless women in the US and around the world.

The Chronomaster Original Pink is a special edition of the brand’s popular chronograph launched last year. A 38mm steel case hosts a dial in metallic pink that is a universal symbol of the fight against the disease that affects one in eight women. Powering the watch is Zenith’s 1/10th of a second El Primero movement.

The watch will be available from 1-31 October at Zenith boutiques and fro0m the brand’s online store, priced at £8,300.
