Zenith adds high frequency tourbillon to sporty Defy Skyline watch collection

Ceramic and steel models adopt horologists' favorite complication.

Zenith has installed a new high frequency El Primero automatic tourbillon movement in a fresh collection of Defy Skyline watches.

The line launches in a choice of brushed steel or black ceramic.

Both materials are used to make 41mm cases and integrated bracelets housing the new El Primero 3630 movement with a power reserve of 60 hours.

Dials are designed with the 60 second tourbillon secured at six o’clock by a mirror-polished bridge with four-pointed stars getting larger as they spread outwards and upwards.

Both the blue and black dials contrast with luminescent applied markers treated with rhodium for the blue dial and rose gold on the black.

They are sold with a second strap in blue or black rubber that can be quickly exchanged for the steel or ceramic bracelets without the need for tools.

Steel on steel is retailing for £51,400, but already showing as sold out on the Zenith website.

The black ceramic piece, also currently out of stock with Zenith, is priced at £60,800.
