Watch winder and accessories specialist WOLF has ceased all business in Russia and Belarus and donated £5,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

DEC is coordinating fundraising for a number of UK charities supporting Ukrainians during the their country’s war with Russia.

DEC charities are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meeting the needs of all refugees and displaced people.

The organisation says £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month; £50 could provide blankets for four families; and £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month.

Simon Wolf, CEO of WOLF, has been prompted to act after seeing the human suffering in Ukraine.

“It is with utter dismay that I have watched an unhinged Putin wreak havoc on a people that are no different from you or me. We all want the same things: happiness, peace, prosperity,” he says.

“Imagine the destruction you are witnessing in Ukraine happening in your home town. Imagine your home being blown to smithereens, having to leave in the dead of night clutching your kids tight and hoping to find a safe place to stay.

“Unless you have experienced this, we have no idea what it must be like. Anything we can do from our comfy armchairs we should, we must,” he urges.

Having donated £5,000 and suspending all business with companies in Russia and Belarus, WOLF is urging individuals and organisations to do what they can.
