WATCHPRO Club delights jet set in Monte Carlo

WATCHPRO Club headed to the Riviera last week for an exclusive event co-hosted with Club Vivanova, Europe’s most dynamic business networking and luxury gourmet wine club.

The event took place at Horizon Deck Champagne Bar on the 7th Floor of the famous Fairmont Hotel in Monte Carlo with glorious views over the Mediterranean.

What better location for an evening of fine wine and exceptional watches for the jet set residents of Monaco.

Guests included heads of private equity and banking firms, owners of real estate brokerages, yacht chartering business chiefs and management consultants.

“We are a brokerage company for luxury transport, yachting, classic cars and luxury. Among our customers we have watch collectors, so WATCHPRO Club was a perfect opportunity to know about the beautiful solutions to offer for the desires of our customers. I had the pleasure of making interesting exchanges. The service was impeccable, it was an evening of wonderful encounters, a real pleasure,” a guest said on the night.

Club Vivanova provided the drinks and ensured the guests were making all the right connections.

A Luxury Super Yacht Broker from Monaco was full of appreciation, saying: “Loved the exhibition and the unique and innovative ideas of the exhibitors. The hosts all very gracious too, thanks so much for the invite.”

WATCHPRO Club Riviera Watchmakers

Three exciting independent watchmakers joined the party.

Singer Reimagined, Label Noir and Claude Meylan presented rare and exceptional timepieces, with experts on hand to talk about the history of the watchmakers and their latest collections.

Singer Reimagined

Star of the show for Singer Reimagined was the launch of a coffee-inspired version of its Flyback Chronograph, designed in collaboration with Italian retailer Orologeria Concato in Verona.

Marco Borraccino, co-founder and creative director of Singer Reimagined is both an Italian and a coffee aficionado.

His love of espresso led him to create the Flyback Barista watch, with a track inside the hours and minutes on the dial featuring different coffee styles: ristretto, espresso, lungo and americano.

Only 30 are being made, priced at CHF 25,500 plus tax.

Claude Meylan

The “Tortue Lady” is a new sculpture by Claude Meylan: the combination of mechanics and sensual curves gives it an affirmed femininity.

The Meylan family has a strong claim to be among the founders of the Swiss watch industry, with a horological history stretching back to the mid-18th century.

Today, Claude Meylan is an expert at skeletonised watches, which turns the essential structural bridges, weights, springs and gears in a movement into brush strokes in works of fine art.

Collections like Lac, Tortue, Lionne, L’Abbaye and Légendes use different case shapes and sizes to frame the intricate dials.

There are watches for gents and ladies with prices starting at a surprisingly affordable CHF 1,000 up to around CHF 8,000.

Label Noir

Label Noir is a Swiss watchmaker that creates customised and personalised watches on behalf of clients.

The atelier is headed by watchmaker Emmanuel Curti, a man who learned his trade working at three of Switzerland’s leading watch manufacturers where he developed his skills in restoration, quality control and new product development.

Collectors entrust their precious timepieces to Label Noir for transformation into unique pieces in the watchmaker’s signature dark style.
