Pierre DeRoche has become the latest artisan independent watchmaker to join WATCHPRO Salon.
The UK’s largest watch show now has 50 brands, many of which have never presented their timepieces in this country before.
The Devoy Group, which specialises in developing independent watchmaking brands in the UK, is introducing Pierre DeRoche to retailers, press and the public at the event.
Pierre DeRoche was founded in 2004 by Pierre and Carole Dubois.
Mr Dubois has watchmaking in his DNA as a direct descendent of Gérald Dubois, co-founder of Dubois-Dépraz, which recently celebrated its 121st year anniversary.
Dubois-Dépraz develops, manufactures and assembles complications for some of the top prestigious Swiss watch brands and for Pierre DeRoche, mainly on an exclusive basis.
Pierre DeRoche has a world-wide network of retailers, including Japan where it was first established 16 years ago.
Now with the UK in its sights, they have recently signed The Devoy Group as its sales agent for the UK
Pierre Dubois, CEO, says: “We are pleased to be working with The Devoy Group, our new sales agent for the UK. We look forward to developing our brand within the UK , as The Devoy Group has many years of sales and marketing experience within luxury brands.”
Pierre DeRoche is divided into two main mechanical collections: the GrandCliff range of round, classical pieces and the more sporty TNT family.
Pierre De Roche GrandCliff
In 2019 a new GrandCliff sub-collection was launched, called GrandCliff 1004, a reference to the lake of Joux altitude.
The watch houses the famous Royal Retro complication in a titanium Grade 5 case surrounded by a black ceramic rotating bezel.
The GrandCliff range includes many other complications such as classical chronographs with or without flyback function, GMT, large date display, power-reserve indicator, reminder ringing function and annual calendar functions, most of the time in various combinations.
Pierre DeRoche TNT
The latest incarnation of this unique complication, the TNT Royal Retro 43 Diablo, pushes the limits of watchmaking expertise even with a sporty aesthetic and a ballet dance of six retrograde seconds.
A captivating technical marvel, it is on sale for £22,400.
Pierre DeRoche Grandcliff Annual Calendar
Equipped with a Dubois Dépraz module, the GrandCliff Annual Calendar and GrandCliff Women’s Annual Calendar boast quick date correction via the crown, and quick month correction via a corrector.
By opting for a 32mm mechanism, which allows for a large-diameter date disc, Pierre DeRoche offers a generous date display for excellent readability of the annual calendar.
The men’s version costs £9,400 while the women’s piece, with a bezel set with 94 diamonds, retails for £12,700.
