Watches of Switzerland joins new Glasgow site

Watches of Switzerland has a new store in Glasgow as part of new development The Buchanan Quarter.

The watch shop sits in the latest addition to The Buchanan Quarter, 185-221 Buchanan Street which was opened today by deputy first minister Nicola Sturgeon.

The latest edition to the wider Buchanan Quarter development, located on the city’s main shopping drag Buchanan Street, has cost £61 million to develop.

At the 115sq ft site at 185-221 Buchanan Street Watches of Switzerland joins fellow new stores Evans Cycles, Fat Face, Forever 21, Gap, Office, Paperchase, Sketchers and Vans.

Robert Noel, chief executive at developer Land Securities, said: "The opening of 185-221 Buchanan Street in Scotland’s No.1 retail city is further evidence of the strength of our confidence in the Scottish market. We are delighted to have introduced new brands to Scotland and are confident that Buchanan Street will further enhance the city’s retail credentials."
