WatchBox world tour reaches its finale

Traveling showcase for Two Decades of F.P. Journe & De Bethune – A Retrospective Exhibition, arrives in WatchBox’s new lounges in the United States in March 2023.

WatchBox will complete its world tour titled Two Decades of F.P. Journe & De Bethune – A Retrospective Exhibition in New York and Los Angeles this month.

The showcase highlights the work of two of the world’s most respected living watchmakers, François-Paul Journe and De Bethune’s Denis Flageollet, through a presentation of more than 100 of their watches.

Events take place in WatchBox’s recently opened watch collectors’ lounges on Madison in Manhattan and Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

All watches on display can be bought on the day.

There will also be private appointments with WatchBox’s experts and a program of educational experiences.

WatchBox has been touring the world with the F.P. Journe & De Bethune exhibition for much of the past year, touching down in Zurich, Geneva Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Dubai.

The UK missed out, most likely because of the complexity of new rules and taxes for the importing, exporting and sale of pre-owned watches, but WatchBox is opening in London this year, and is promising a spectacular launch.

The exhibitions will also formerly mark the opening of the new American showrooms and lounges.

WatchBox will present early examples and modern references by F.P. Journe and De Bethune throughout the event, tracing the last two decades of technical, aesthetic, and material innovation.

Tim Mosso, WatchBox’s Youtube star and director of media, will be on site to offer advice.

“The WatchBox community is drawn together by a common fascination with horology, and our retrospective exhibition offers an unprecedented hands-on and globally shared experience,” promises Justin Reis, WatchBox CEO.

“This is more than a carefully curated collection of watches. It is a portrait of the two leading independent watchmakers today – a definitive statement of their evolution, milestones, and masterpieces. And we are delighted to present the ‘grand finale’ of this exhibition in our new New York and West Hollywood homes.”
