Jaeger-LeCoultre was joined last night by global ambassadors Lenny Kravitz, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult to celebrate the opening of its The Reverso Stories exhibition in New York.
Reverso watches have a shared history in Manhattan’s Art Deco architecture and design, particularly around the intra-war prohibition era during which the timepiece was born in 1931.
The Reverso 1931 Café, first opened as a pop-up in 2022 as a tribute to the two-faced watch, and was transformed into a speakeasy for the evening, with music by DJ Isaac Likes.
Also present were model Maya Stepper, actor Aldis Hodge, DJ Brendan Fallis, actor Eric Rutherford, Korean artist Yiyun Kang and “World’s Best Pastry Chef” Nina Métayer.
The Reverso Stories exhibition has been touring the world, and is open in New York from November 3 to 22 at IRON23, 29 W 23rd Street, New York.
This exhibition explores the creative and cultural universe of this exceptional design through four themes, leading visitors on a journey through more than 90 years of timeless modernity.
Created by Jaeger-LeCoultre as part of its mission to expand the cultural conversation around design and watchmaking, Reverso Stories offers visitors a deep immersion into the creative and cultural universe of this icon of watch design through more than 90 years since its birth in 1931.
