Vulcain’s rebirth under the stewardship of Guillaume Laidet is continuing with the comeback of its Grand Prix watch, which was first on sale in the 1960s.
The new collection comes in a slim 39mm steel case and aims at a new customer seeking discreet elegance with an “old money” aesthetic thanks to its vintage-style dial and domed crystal over a domed dial.
“The Vulcain Grand Prix on your wrist signals Kennedy more than Kardashian,” Vulcain pitches.
“This watch whispers when others shout; it expresses discreet luxury. Sophistication. Good taste. Its comfortable elegance ensures it is a subtle yet distinguished presence on the wrist – a personal statement of taste that is nobody else’s business. Transcending trends, it spells style and chic simplicity,” the brand adds.
The Grand Prix is also easy on the wallet, costing £1,065 on a leather strap.
The time-only watch, which has a closed case back, is powered by a Swiss Landeron automatic movement with 40 hour power reserve.
There are three dial treatments in champagne, light grey or black with a semi-gloss sunray finish.
