From September 8-10, the Vicenza Expo Centre foyer will once again host the prestigious Italian Exhibition Group’s event dedicated to watchmaking culture, mechanisms design, style and innovation.
The second edition of VO’Clock Privé has been organised to coincide with Vicenzaoro (September 8-12), Europe’s leading gold and jewellery trade show, and builds on the success of VO Vintage, the event for vintage watches. Open to the general public, watch enthusiasts, experts and collectors will assemble to discover the latest ideas and timepieces from some of the top names in watchmaking.
Highlights of the three days will include a Tudor event in conversation with Ander Ugarte, head of design; Zenith and Hublot talks; and addresses from opinion leaders, collectors such as Beppe Ambrosini and Bruno Bergamaschi (aka Giorgione).
There will also be an “Italian watchmaking and its future” talk conducted by Ugo Pancani, trainer at FHH in Geneva, with contributions from Sandro Fratini, Auro Montanari and Marco Mantovani. There will also be interactive workshops with Zenith’s Watch Clinic which enables watch lovers to step into a watchmaker’s universe.
This year’s educational programme will include the official Watch Essential Course by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) for enthusiasts of all levels, plus a new in-depth course on the Tourbillon.
The Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI) will attend with eight master watchmakers from Andersen Genève, Ludovic Ballouard, Sinclair Harding, Vincent Calabrese, Stefan Kudoke, Matthias Naeschke, Meccaniche Orologi Milano and Marc&Darnò. And visitors will get the chance to meet Luca Soprana, Romeo Ferraris, A.Favre & Fils and Kross Studio.
The latest releases from brands including Norqain, Speake Marin and Frederique Constant will be available to see, hold and try.
